Grace Baptist Church, Middletown, OH (October 5-14, 2010)
The last church mission team came last Fall. Bro. Max & Catrina Fernandez, Phil & Ann Flannagan, and Ian Wilson visited us, helping happily and energetically with the preparations for the Elche weekend youth retreat. During the retreat they preached and taught, and then ministered to our Goierri congregation on Sunday as well, at the special meetings we held in the Beasain Polideportivo.
BJU Musical Mission Team, Greenville, SC (June 18-21, 2010)
The BJU Musical Mission Team of 27 came to our corner of the Basque country for the fourth time. The first time they came (1997) we were just starting to pray about asking God for a farmhouse. The second time (2003) we had Aierdi but it was in no condition to spend the night in. The third time (2007) the team stayed in what was still an extremely rustic farmhouse. This time they again stayed at Aierdi, but the description could legitimately be improved to "very rustic farmhouse"!
On Saturday evening they gave a sacred concert with Gospel testimonies at a full hall in the Antzizar sports complex in Beasain. Then again, on Sunday morning, we met in this building, which God had providentially made available to us for the weekend. A good number of unsaved people heard the Gospel in the two services.
The team also sang in the Irun Baptist Church during the evening.

Front Range Baptist Church, Fort Collins, CO (May, 2010)
Larry Hood, Jerry Atkinson, and Steve & Marcy Corwine flew into Bilbao on May 15th. This quartet from Front Range BC, in Fort Collins, CO, rapidly became dear friends to all of us. The men worked primarily on the construction and installation of three double doors, made out of rough lumber. They also did sheetrocking in the Guest Room. Marcy did a bunch of sewing for the different families on our missionary team, but is perhaps most remembered for the three beautiful offering bags for the Esperanza Viva Baptist Church. We use them every week!

Clutes & Goodwins, Berean BC, Lilburn, GA (April 2010)
Chuck & Elizabeth and Jim & Carmen got in on April 22nd. They built four heavy benches (like the two they are sitting on) and started designing and putting together the elegant post covers for the dining room and main entrance. Chuck also built two birdhouses, which you can see behind and over Jim's left shoulder. Chuck came again in March of 2011, and with Rob & Suellen Stroup, finished the post covers for the dining room. It was also on this trip that Jim decided to create a water wheel for Aierdi, which I brought over and assembled in April of 2011.
