June, 2023. Through various friends and churches, the Lord has sent in $27,000 for the track hoe, for which we are astonished and grateful. Right now we are actively searching for the best machine we can get for that ammount. Thanks for praying with us in this phase of the project too!
After many years of wishing we had some equipment for maintaining the Aierdi trenches clean, we are now actively praying to God for His leading and provision to purchase a track hoe. The large landslide of December 2021 made a huge mess of things, but that was repaired by the provincial authorities in August of 2022. However, heavy rains came again in December 2022 and were a serious test for the trench drainage system they had made. Although the overall system worked, smaller slides that covered parts of the trenches caused mud and water to overflow and fan out in areas that will eventually bring problems again. We recently rented a small track hoe and that helped a good bit, but it is not a longterm solution. Thank you for praying with us that God will provide the funds we need to get a machine that will allow us to do our own trench maintenance. We think the amount of $15,000 would be a minimum for something that would do the job. However, God is very good at surprising us and has done so many times. We will simply pray, save, and wait until whatever solution He has for us becomes clear.
